QINGDAO:
We followed the path of many tourists through Taiqing Palace Monastery with “Rose” our guide for the day. The look of surprise on her face was a picture as Master You and Xiao Long wandered off the beaten track to talk with the Principal Abbot. Master You then signalled for everyone to come with him and we were received very warmly by the Abbot and his disciples. This was a very special occasion as Master You had not seen his friends for a long time. Things just started getting better as we were treated to a display of Taijiquan in one of the inner chambers of the Monastery. Bob was also told to display his interpretation of a Wudang Taiji Form as it has been 2 years since he studied in China with Master You.
Everyone left Laoshan that day with a great feeling of warmth and with more enthusiasm about training under Master You the next day in Penglai.
